Temple Emergency Action Corps

Temple Emergency Action Corps was established in 2005 when Temple University Medical School students traveled to New Orleans to assist in medical care after Hurricane Katrina.  TEAC helps medical students prepare and mobilize in the event of a disaster to assist in relief.  Since then, the mobile relief teams have provided aid to thousands of people affected by disaster in Bolivia, Honduras, El Salvador and Haiti.  TEAC launched a Homeless Outreach Initiative dedicated to improving health outcomes for the homeless in Philadelphia.

Every year TEAC hosts a symposium at Temple University Medical School. The theme of the 2015 event was Acutely Acting Chronically Caring.
